Why was the V & T built? Who built it? What did it cost? There were no other railroads in the area so how do you get steam engines to Virginia City in 1869? Why do we want to rebuild it now? Who will benefit from the reconstruction?
There are lots of questions and lots of history too. Apparently the question of “Is it possible?” never came up, or maybe it was just ignored. Virginia City had a problem to solve, they listed all the obstacles, and then they built a railroad; in less than a year!
See the new DVD on sale in our store and get the answer. And don't forget to check the "Newsletter" page for current construction updates.
